Saint’s Care, LLC is owned and operated by Rommel and Neonta Saintfort. Rommel and Neonta both served in the United States Army and are currently practicing nurses. While in the military Rommel served as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic and Neonta as a Field Medic for a total of 18 combined years. While both Rommel and Neonta were reared with a strong sense of community, compassion and camaraderie; it was during their time in the military that these qualities were nurtured and ignited as they served alongside their brothers and sisters in arms as well as within their local churches.
After separation from the US Army both Rommel and Neonta pursued careers in nursing . Rommel became a licensed LPN in 2006 and Neonta became a licensed RN in 2008. Rommel and Neonta’s nursing careers have afforded them the opportunity to collectively work in many different settings which include, nursing homes, state psychiatric facilities, the county jail, the Emergency Department, and currently in home health, and as a travel/agency ER nurse.
Shortly after being discharged from the military the couple was faced with their own difficulties of securing affordable housing. It was Rommel ‘s status of being a “disabled vet” and the help of other veterans that opened the doors for them to be able to obtain affordable and suitable housing. Throughout their years in healthcare and working in many different settings and roles, the couple’s eyes were opened to the grave disparities that plague marginalized populations such as disabled veterans, the elderly, juveniles/ young adults within the social welfare system, as well as the mentally disabled. They began to see the correlation of how one’s ability or inability to have secure housing can directly affect an individual’s ability
to maintain their health as well as be productive in society.
The insight and wealth of knowledge that Rommel and Neonta have gained byway of their own personal experiences along with working in healthcare have allowed them to recognize the overwhelming need for housing amongst some of the most underserved communities, and is the catalyst that drives the company’s tenets and desire to serve the communities in which they are
passionate about.
